Wow,  I can’t believe our little sweetheart is already 6 months old. How crazy is that. So as you can tell we’ve all been having fun around here lately. One of the bigger changes (besides being sealed and having the adoption final) is that Joy has decided she is ready to move past just formula.  Here is her first feeding (just rice cereal), but I’m not sure that she was all that impressed.

We don’t have our official 6 month appointment for another week or so, but I did my own little growth charting. She is 25 inches long and 16 pounds. Can’t believe how much she is growing. It’s really a lot of fun to watch. She’s getting into her own personality more and more. Dave had fun the other day playing Rock Band with Joy. She was quite fascinated with the drums. It was prety cute!

We have a question for everyone. If we straightened Joy’s hair would it be as long as Julia’s? For those that don’t know, this is Nick’s youngest and Joy’s cousin who is about three months younger than Joy. We sure had fun with Nick and Becky, and Ben & Julia this week.

Overall the last six months have been incredibly wonderful and happy. I think Joy says it best for us in this next picture. This is how I feel daily!

Cute pictures! We had a fun week, too. It’ll be fun when our little girls can play together. I think Joy’s hair would be longer than Julia’s if you straightened it. :) Love you guys!

That last picture is too cute! And I love the one with David playing Rock Band. He is such a good dad. I heard him in the background when we were on the phone the other day and he sounded so fun. She totally loves you guys. Love the rice cereal moment. Soon, she’ll probably be devouring it. Can’t wait for green veggies pictures…

Alicia,

It’s always good to see and talk to you, despite the circumstances. I know the blessings you feel from that little Joy of yours. I’m so happy you were able to have such a beautiful day to celebrate your special Sealing day with your family and friends. Since I was able to be Sealed to my parents as a child, and also remember that, it kindof felt like I missed a step with Adilyn. How wonderful that must have been to have had that with Joy and your family! :-) SO SO HAPPY FOR YOU!!

As promised, the blog for Ali and her Dad… http://www.craigandallison.blogspot.com

Make sure and e-mail me your address so I can invite you to our blog. Also let Laurissa know of my e-mail, so maybe I can keep tabs on her ;-)
